EPROB

Robotic Arm and Navigation System for Brain Surgery

EPROB Robotic Arm is the newest member of the EPED Inc. family. Having been in production for nearly decade, a heavy emphasis on precision, safety, and minimally invasive surgeries are just some of the features that have been developed in that time.

EPROB Robotic Arm is an advanced surgical system that performs robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery. The robotic arm is controlled through precise coordinates and parameters processed through a navigation system where surgeons have full manageability of the instruments required in various types of brain surgeries.

The system delivers highly magnified and 3D high-definition views of the surgical area, allowing surgeons to guide instruments through a single small incision during surgery.

EPROB Robotic Arm is an innovation in which the surgeon, guided by their experience, performs minimally invasive procedures better and faster by reducing human-related errors which could cause complications.

Studies have proven the system to shorten surgeries by almost 4 hours compared with any other traditional frame-based procedures.

Applications

Intracerebral Hemorrhage (ICH)
Spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage is a devastating disease, accounting for 10 to 15% of all types of stroke; however, it is associated with disproportionally higher rates of mortality and disability. Through medical imaging (MRI), it is possible for doctors to target and drain the endangered areas in order to prevent serious future brain damage and complications.

Tumor Biopsy
Early cancer diagnosis with improved detection and precise delivery of therapeutic measures that challenge the perceptual and dexterity capacities of the physicians. In this context, EPROB Robotic Arm + AI plays a significant role to direct the future of the percutaneous procedures toward more precise biopsies and targeted therapies.

Deep Brain Stimulation for Parkinson’s disease
Considered the largest breakthrough in the treatment of Parkinson's disease in the past 40 years, Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) is a pioneering procedure of neurology and functional neurosurgery, forging enormous change and growth within the field. EPROB Robotic Arm +AI locates and helps guide doctors to place electro-stimulated nodes in the
correct location.

SEEG for Seizures and Epilepsy
An stereoelectroencephalography surgical procedure is most effective when seizures are located in a specific area of the brain. In the past, Epilepsy-related surgery was not the first line of treatment but thanks to the exactitude, accuracy, and minimal foot print of EPROB Robotic Arm + AI, these sorts of procedures will become a standard among patients.
